// Restu Café – A Taste of Lebanon in the Heart of Bucharest
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Bucharest’s old town, Centrul Vechi, blending tradition and freshness in a uniquely modern Lebanese experience. Yet a vibrant venue offering a flavorful journey through natural cocktails, rich sandwiches, hot cuisine, and barista crafted coffee.
The space, though working with a modest budget, was revitalised through thoughtful, design-led decisions. One striking architectural feature, the original stone arch that cuts through the interior, was preserved and celebrated, becoming the visual heart of the space. Painted in bold, warm tones, it bridges old-world charm with contemporary flair, reminding visitors of the layered history of the neighbourhood.
Drawing inspiration from Beirut’s street cafés, the interior plays with a palette of Mediterranean blues, mustard yellow, and terracotta red to inject warmth and personality. Custom terrazzo tabletops and velvet-upholstered chairs add an elegant contrast to the raw textures of the original arch and clean lines of the open kitchen. Fresh fruit displays and bold menu boards tell a visual story of authenticity and simplicity, while premium coffee machines and sandwich grills behind the counter ensure high-quality offerings served quickly and with style.
Restu Café is more than a quick stop... It’s a neighbourhood destination designed to spark joy, comfort, gatherings and a little curiosity. From early morning espresso to late afternoon tasty sandwiches and fruity cocktails, it delivers a slice of Lebanese soul to one of Bucharest’s most iconic corners.
